 INTERNET IN ECUADOR
Internet and email cafes are now common throughout Ecuador, and you’ll find terminals in all big cities and most stops on the gringo trail. Connections speed, reliability and prices vary from town to town. Many internet cafes offer "net-phone" services which are the cheapest means of calling abroad [dialing the United States for instance costs about 5-10 cents a minute and calls to Europe can be found for as little as 8 cents per minute]. These are practicable for calling "Western" countries, but pretty impossible for other countries in South America.
