This tour brings you first to the old town of Quito, visiting the
Parliament Building, whose stone mural records Ecuador's history. Then the colonial temples and monasteries of this urban jewel, with the
Independence Plaza, by the
Cathedral, the
church of El Sagrario,
Presidential Palace, the
Municipal Building and the
Archbishop's Palace. Also the
Church of La Compañía de Jesús, one of the most impressive of Latin America, with its breathtaking gilded altars, considered the finest example of baroque art in America, the
Church of San Francisco, one the of great religious buildings of the New World. Then the tour continues with visits to the
Museo de la Ciudad, the
Convent of Santo Domingo and some of the modern-new city of Quito and it's main plazas and monuments.
