Santa Rosa is an agricultural town lying a few kilometers south of the border with Peru. On August, from the 24th till the 30th, there is an annual shrimp festivity in Santa Rosa and during these days, the village organizes a contest for the best ceviche. By the landing stretch in Santa Rosa there is an exit for Puerto Jeli, a small fishing town located some 4^1/2 km by the end of the main road. In Puerto Jeli there are good places to eat such as El Pez Dorado and Riberas del Pacifico, amongst others.

Places to visit. Tours to the Mangroves and the beach of Las Casitas can be organized opposite the dock. The price changes according to the number of persons traveling.
