Heading south, the next village along from Puerto Lopez is Salango.

Places to visit. Here you can stop by at the good Museo Salango, which, though modest, does a laudable job of displaying artifacts and information about the local archeological sites. The museum is only open Wednesday to Sunday, 9 am to 5 pm, and includes a gift shop. Admission fee US$2*.

Getting there. There is a frequent bus service to and from Puerto Lopez [US$0.80*, 15 minutes].
