Spread out on a long beach, Puerto Cayo is a quiet, pleasant, unpretentious small fishing community with not many places to eat and stay.

Things to do. Aside from eating excellent seafood and drinking beer, there are few tourist activities or sights nor bars, or discos in Puerto Cayo itself. Such is the place’s charm that sitting on an empty beach and looking out on the ocean is one of its main attractions. On a clear day you'll see the misty outline of the mysterious Isla de la Plata.
