 MANTA / GETTING THERE
The airport is about three kilometres [two miles] east of Tarqui. TAME [05 - 622006], on the Malecon north of the plaza and theater, has flights every day to and from Quito, with flights to Guayaquil in the rainy season [check for other months].

The main bus terminal is on Calle 7 and Avenida 8, behind the central bank building, used by the majority of bus companies, with good connections to main cities.

Frequent bus service to Guayaquil [41/2 hours, [US$5.00*]. To Quito [about 10 hours, US$7.00*]. To Portoviejo [1 hour, US$1.00*]. To Jipijapa [1 hour, US$1.30*]. To Bahia de Caraquez [about 31/2 hours, US$2.50*]. To Esmeraldas [81/2 hours, US$7.20*]. To Santo Domingo [5 hours, US$6.20*].
