 LATACUNGA / GETTING THERE

There is no central bus station. Buses to Quito leave from Plaza Chile [also called Plaza El Salto] by the market, and buses going south on the Pan-American leave from the other side of the river, at Avenida 5 de Junio, close to the train station. The buses to Pujili, Zumbahua and western villages also pass nearby. To get to other villages such as Saquisili, there's a stop on Benavidez, north of the market. To take the train on the Quito-Riobamba route, the train station lies on the west side of the Panamericana.
