There
are frequent
buses
between Ibarra,
Otavalo,
Quito,
Tulcan
and other
major towns,
but the main
bus station
has been closed
for renovation.
Until it reopens,
bus companies
will continue
to use their
own, clustering
close to the
obelisk area.
If arriving
at night,
take a taxi
to your hotel
since the
area around
the train
station and
south of the
obelisk is
unsafe.
