 YANTZAZA

Yantzaza was officially recognised as a town on 26th February 1981 by the President of The Republic, Ab. Jaime Roldos Aguilera. It's a tiny place with a small handful of restaurants and hotels, about an hour and a half north of Zamora, The word ‘Yantzaza’ comes from the Shuar language and means ‘Valley of the Glow-worms’.
