Leonidas
Plaza.
Founded by
missionaries
around 70
years ago,
it lies hidden
away in thick
jungle.
The town’s
population
is just 3,000.
Accommodation
facilities
are limited
to a few hotels
and restaurants
in a single
street. Although
the town has
no outstanding
attractions,
the bustling
town with
friendly people
is worth a
visit if you’re
passing through.
Getting
there
Buses
leave from
Calle Quito
onward to
Macas,
Cuenca
and Gualaquiza.
